1. Install Hyphen in your Okta organization
Sign in to the Okta Admin Console with administrator access to install an API Service Integration.
- Go to Applications and Resources > API Service Integrations.
- Select Add Integration.
- Find Hyphen.
- Select Next.
- Select Install & Authorize.
See Okta installation instructions for details.
Authorize all four Okta read scopes before you connect:

|---|---|
okta.users.read |
Read users and their profiles. |
okta.groups.read |
Read groups and their members. |
okta.apps.read |
Read applications and their assignments. |
okta.roles.read |

2. Copy your Okta credentials
Copy the client secret when Okta displays it. Okta displays the secret only once.
On the integration's General tab, copy the Okta Domain and Client ID.
See the Okta API service integration guide for credential details.
3. Connect Okta
In Hyphen's Integrations area, select Okta. Enter the organization URL, client ID, and client secret.
Use the tenant URL with the https:// prefix, such as https://customer.okta.com. Custom domains and Admin Console domains are not supported.
Do not include a path, query, fragment, or custom port in the URL.
Select Test to check the values. Select Connect after the test succeeds.
Hyphen verifies access to users, groups, applications, and administrator assignments. The integration details page shows the organization URL and client ID.

Connections
Okta does not support separate resource connections. Reports use the organization integration directly to read users, groups, applications, and access assignments.
Okta can act as the identity directory or as a comparison source in supported reports. Hyphen does not create or change Okta users, groups, or applications.
Device inventory reports are not supported through this integration.
See Integrations Overview for other report sources.
